MediaOverview ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our platform.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your username and a hashed version of your password. We do not store passwords in plain text.
1.2 Usage Data
We collect information about how you interact with the platform, including workflow run logs, analytics queries, and content publishing records stored in your connected database.
1.3 Third-Party Platform Data
When you connect social media accounts (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, etc.), we access and display data returned by those platforms' APIs on your behalf. We do not sell or share this data with third parties.
1.4 Cookies & Sessions
We use a single HTTP-only, HMAC-signed session cookie to authenticate your session. This cookie does not contain personal data and is never shared with third parties. It expires after 7 days.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide, operate, and maintain the MediaOverview platform
- To authenticate your identity and maintain session security
- To execute automated workflows you have configured
- To display analytics and reporting data from connected platforms
- To diagnose technical issues and improve platform performance
- To comply with applicable laws and regulations
3. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored in a PostgreSQL database (hosted on Supabase) that you control. We implement industry-standard security measures including:
- HMAC-SHA256 signed session tokens
- HTTPS encryption for all data in transit
- Bcrypt hashed passwords
- Database connections via TLS
While we implement strong safeguards, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
4. Third-Party Services
MediaOverview integrates with third-party services to provide its functionality. These include:
- Social media platforms (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, etc.) — governed by their respective privacy policies
- OpenRouter / AI providers — for AI content generation (prompts are not stored beyond workflow execution)
- RunningHub / kie.ai — for video and image generation workflows
- AWS S3 — for temporary video storage during workflow execution
- Upload-Post API — for cross-platform content publishing
We recommend reviewing the privacy policies of these third-party services.
5. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Workflow run logs and analytics data are retained indefinitely within your database unless you choose to delete them. You may request account deletion at any time by contacting us.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights:
- Access — request a copy of personal data we hold about you
- Correction — request correction of inaccurate data
- Deletion — request deletion of your account and associated data
- Portability — request your data in a portable format
- Objection — object to certain types of processing

7. Children's Privacy
MediaOverview is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.
8. International Data Transfers
Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. By using MediaOverview, you consent to the transfer of your information to countries that may have different data protection laws than your country of residence.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
